Now that your physician has scheduled your surgical procedure at San Pablo Surgery Center, this guide will provide the information you need for a safe, and comfortable experience. - Your physician's office will arrange your surgical appointment and provide preliminary instructions.
- Pre-admission is available at the San Pablo Surgery Center from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may schedule an appointment at your convenience by calling 223-7800.
- Be sure to bring your insurance cards, personal identification, and all forms given to you by your physician's office.
- Provide precise information regarding any food, drug or environmental allergies. If you take any medication regularly, please bring it with you.
- A San Pablo Surgery Center nurse will telephone you to verify your instructions. If you do not receive a phone call by the day before your surgery, please call 223-7800 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Do not eat or drink anything after midnight of the night before your surgery, including water, coffee, gum, candy and ice.
- Arrive at the San Pablo Surgery Center 1 hour prior to your scheduled surgery time, unless you've been instructed otherwise by the nursing staff.
- Plan to be in the San Pablo Surgery Center for a few hours. Since you'll be changing clothes before surgery, please wear comfortable warm clothing that can be folded.
- Do not wear fingernail polish, makeup, or jewelry.
- If you wear dentures, bridges, contact lenses or any other artificial devices, you must remove them before surgery.
- Please leave your valuables at home, as San Pablo Surgery Center will not be responsible for them.
- You will meet your anesthesiologist prior to surgery.
